Houston, TX (April 17, 2024): Thanks to our amazing Team Members, Homeowners and partners, the first quarter was packed with projects supporting our communities through CARE! Hosting blood drives, collecting stuffed animals and toiletries, running 5Ks, cleaning offices and a “grief retreat” home, sorting food and clothing, and landscaping are just a few of the ways we gave back in Q1

“Communities In Schools of Wake County is grateful for our partnership with David Weekley Homes,” said Lisa Berwyn, Communities In School Wake County Director of Advancement and Donor Engagement. “One way that David Weekley Homes surrounds students with a community of support is through the backpack distribution program for high-risk students who are served through CIS Wake. David Weekley Homes also interfaces with the students by introducing them to the Pencil Posse! Because of the relationships we’ve built with David Weekley Homes, our students are provided school supplies and other supports like computers, which empower kids to stay in school and achieve in life. “
Keep an eye out for information about how you can participate in our upcoming 8th annual CARE Build Month in May. Many of our local divisions partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to provide beds and bedding to keep children from sleeping on the floor.
