David Weekley Homes Announces New Ballantyne-Area Community
Charlotte, NC (June 6, 2017): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held builder, will soon begin building in its second Ballantyne-area community with SouthRidge. Located on North Community House Road, and adjacent to Ballantyne Country Club, SouthRidge will feature 27 single-family homes and 60 townhomes.
“We’re excited to soon expand our offerings in the Ballantyne area with our second South Charlotte community,” said Mark Gibbs, division president for David Weekley Homes in Charlotte. “SouthRidge will include single-family, paired villa homes, along with townhomes. Combined with our other Ballantyne-area community, Greenway Village, we’ll soon be adding more than 130 new homes to the South Charlotte region.”
David Weekley Homes is scheduled to break ground on a model home in July and anticipates the model opening for daily tours in September. Pre-sales for SouthRidge are expected to begin in June. Prices for Southridge will start from the $400s.
Buyers will be able to choose from single-family or townhome floor plans, similar to those currently offered by David Weekley Homes in its Waverly and Avignon communities. The single-family homes will range in size from 2,900 to 3,900 square feet, and townhomes will range from 2,100 to 2,800 square feet.
Buyers in SouthRidge will enjoy close proximity to the Morrison Family YMCA, Ballantyne Corporate Park, Blakeney shopping center and StoneCrest at Piper Glen. Students will attend Ardrey Kell High School.
This is the builder's second Ballantyne area community coming soon. Greenway Village, which features 17 single-family homes and 27 townhomes, within walking distance to the Toringdon shopping area. Greenway Village is now open for sales and has a model home open daily for tours. Buyers can choose from two- and three-story single family and townhomes, ranging in size from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet.
