David Weekley Homes Celebrates its 25th Anniversary in Orlando
Orlando, FL (January 8, 2019): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held builder, is celebrating 25 years of home building in Orlando in 2019. The company was founded in Houston, TX, in 1976 and expanded to Orlando in 1994 as the first home builder selected for Walt Disney Company’s renowned master-planned community, Celebration.
Over the company’s 25 years in Orlando, it has enjoyed several notable milestones:
David Weekley Homes was the first and final home builder in Disney’s Celebration, entering the community in 1996 and, after more than 20 years, closing out the community in 2017.
The Orlando division launched Central Living by David Weekley Homes in 2010, offering luxurious, high-density homes in prime, walkable locations close to downtown and is now selling in three urban locations
Since 1994, the company has closed nearly 4,450 homes in the Orlando area.
The company has built in 46 communities throughout Orlando, including Timicuan, Baldwin Park, Hunter’s Creek, Waterford Lakes, Keene’s Pointe, Heathrow and more, and is currently building in nine communities.
David Weekley Homes has earned more than 115 Orlando-area awards, including 90 for product design.
