David Weekley Homes Chairman Inducted to Texas Housing Hall of Honor

Houston, TX (November 21, 2016): David Weekley, the founder and chairman of David Weekley Homes, was recognized on Friday, November 18 by the Texas Association of Builders as the 2016 Honoree for the Texas Housing Hall of Honor.

The Texas Housing Hall of Honor celebrates men and women who have made significant and lasting contributions to the housing industry in Texas. Additionally, the honor recognizes individuals who promote a positive image of the Texas housing industry to the public through increased awareness and education.

“It’s a true honor to be inducting David Weekley into the Texas Housing Hall of Honor," said Scott Norman, executive director of the Texas Association of Builders. “He has been a true pioneer in the housing industry and we are fortunate to have his insight on all levels. Above all, David’s commitment to his customers and the well-being of the state is second to none. He’s the perfect example of ‘doing the right thing.’”

Inductees are selected annually from the categories of: builders, developers or remodelers; trades professionals and suppliers; government; and industry-allied professionals, and are elected through secret ballot by the Texas Association of Builders Board of Governors.

“This has been a milestone year for David Weekley Homes as we celebrate our 40th anniversary and I am incredibly grateful to be recognized as the 2016 Honoree for the Texas Housing Hall of Honor,” said David Weekley, chairman of David Weekley Homes. “I am proud of the company and our high standards, which we use to challenge ourselves to continue being an innovator for both our customers and the housing industry.”
