David Weekley Homes Coming Soon to Orono

Minneapolis, MN (October 26, 2016): David Weekley Homes will soon begin building in Orono Preserve. Located less than 20 miles from downtown Minneapolis, this community will include 39 single-family homes, with prices starting from the $550s.

Located off Wayzata Boulevard and Old Crystal Bay Road and across the street from the Orono Public Schools campus, homes will be situated on 65-foot homesites and range in size from 1,900-3,100 square feet. Floor plans will include single-level living and two-story plans with three-car garages.

Orono Preserve will offer wetland homesites and convenient access to nearby shopping and dining, as well as public transportation. Homebuyers will also be in proximity to several lakes, trails and reserves. Students will be in walking distance to Orono Public Schools, including Schumann Elementary, Orono Middle School and Orono High School.

David Weekley Homes is the first builder in Minneapolis/St. Paul to build Environments For Living® (EFL) certified homes. The Environments For Living program provides a rigorous set of requirements for home builders and offers limited guarantees on comfort and heating and cooling energy use.

Homes in Minneapolis/St. Paul are built to EFL Diamond Level standards using the principles of building science to offer energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and durability benefits. When homebuyers close on their David Weekley home, they will receive a certificate that indicates the average yearly maximum energy usage for heating and air conditioning (only), guaranteed by Environments For Living.

Sales are expected to begin in January 2017 and a model home will be open in February 2017 during the Parade of Homes tour, presented by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.
