David Weekley Homes Earns 18 Honors at Charlotte's 2018 MAME Awards
Charlotte, NC (April 13, 2018): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held home builder, is proud to have won 18 awards, including Builder of the Year, during yesterday’s Charlotte Home Builders Association (HBA) 2018 MAME Awards.

The MAME Awards recognize sales, marketing, design and building excellence and are given to builders, developers, remodelers and associates. David Weekley Homes was presented with a Gold Award for model merchandising in The Ashcroft in Fullwood Station in Matthews, NC, and a Silver Award for model merchandising in The Verdale, located in the SouthPark community of Avignon. The builder also received three other Gold Awards at the HBA’s annual event, including Best Brochure, Best Design Center for its 2,300-square-foot facility in Ballantyne and Best Landscape Design for the community of Eden Hall, also in Matthews, NC.
“That’s The Weekley Way” garnered a Silver Award for Best Advertising Campaign, which takes the focus from company and product-centric marketing to emotionally engaging lifestyle imagery featuring actual customers. The builder also took home three Silver Awards for best community outreach stemming from the inaugural Short Stacks for a Tall Cause breast cancer breakfast that drew more than 45 attendees and $800 benefitting Carolina Breast Friends, which provides group support and items such as mastectomy pillows, inspiration jars and comfort bags to breast cancer patients and survivors.
David Weekley Homes received seven sales achievement awards, including one Platinum Honor, presented to Sales Consultant Joanne Drake, and six Gold Honors, presented to sales consultants Jen Read, Kim Johnson, Preston Nowaski, Nathan James, Mandy Noonan and Vince Furnari for their outstanding sales achievements. Internet advisor Jenny Miller garnered Online Sales Consultant of the Year for the second year in a row.
David Weekley Homes marketing director Christine Manning was awarded Marketing Professional of the Year and project manager Billy Whidden was named Construction Manager of the Year.
