Houston, TX (October 24, 2023): David Weekley Homes is excited to announce its recognition as the No. 18 company on the Best Workplaces for Women™ list, released today by Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine. This marks the sixth year the builder has received the ranking on this list, which recognizes companies with the broadest set of women who report positive workplace experiences.

To determine the Best Workplaces for Women list, Great Place To Work analyzes the gender balance of each workplace, how it compares Bureau of Labor Statistics industry data, and how representation changes as women rise from front-line positions to the board of directors. At a minimum, to be considered for the Fortune Best Workplaces for Women, companies must be Great Place to Work-Certified™ and must have at least 50 female employees, at least 20 percent of non-executive management must be women, and at least one C-Suite executive must be a woman.

Additionally, The home builder was also recently ranked No. 1 on Fortune magazine’s list of Best Workplaces in Texas™, No. 2 on the list for Best Workplaces in Construction™, and No. 9 on the list for Best Workplaces for Millennials™ in 2023. In the last year, Great Place To Work surveyed companies employing 7.5 million people in the U.S. and received 1.3 million survey responses.
