Atlanta, GA (October 29, 2021): David Weekley Homes was recently awarded 11 OBIE awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, including two gold and seven silver awards. These accolades bring the company’s total to more than 830 awards for product design and more than 1,395 overall.

David Weekley Homes received a gold award for Interior Merchandising for The Gilmore in The Retreat at Sterling on the Lake in the $400,000-$499,000 detached category for the home featuring a bold color story of navy, camel, grey and white tones for a rich and sophisticated look to appeal to a target audience of empty nesters. The Gilmore, also in the community of The Retreat at Sterling on the Lake, received a silver award for Best Building Design in the $400,000-$499,000 detached category.
The Meadowhill model home in The Retreat at Sterling on the Lake was also recognized with silver awards in the $500,000-$599,000 detached category for Best Building Design and Best Interior Merchandising. This home features a bold blend of classic and contemporary styles set against a soft color story.
Additionally, The Canterfield in Ashbury received the silver award in Best Building Design and Interior Merchandising in the $500,000-$599,000 attached category. This three-story home offers inviting living spaces, gathering places and an owner’s retreat with a sitting room and spa-inspired owner’s bath with a super shower and walk-in closet.
The home builder's marketing efforts were also recognized with a gold award for Best Marketing Campaign for the drive-in event and campaign for the community of Glenhaven. In the category for Best Video Promotion, the amenity video for The Retreat at Sterling took home a silver award by showcasing future amenities in this 55+ community. Additionally, the home builder received a silver award for Community Service of the Year for partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace as part of the company’s philanthropic efforts.
Two team members were recognized with personal achievement awards. Kirk Ricketts was named Sales Person of the Year and Lesa Ness was honored as Marketing Manager of the Year.
The OBIE Awards program, which is presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, began in 1980 and are given to recognize outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing remodeling and personal achievement categories.
