David Weekley Homes Receives Six Obie Awards

Atlanta, GA (October 30, 2019): David Weekley Homes was recently awarded six OBIE awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, including five gold and one silver award within three price categories.

“We take great pride in our commitment to Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives by providing an exceptional home buying experience, which includes everything from our sales centers and model homes to the innovation of our floor plans and quality of construction,” said Eric Price, division president for David Weekley Homes in Atlanta. “We are truly honored to be recognized with these awards by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.”

The home builder received a gold award for Best Sales Office Design. The space features a modern, inviting design featuring contemporary white brick wall with eye-catching colors and informative displays to create a comfortable setting for homebuyers.

David Weekley Homes received two gold awards for Architectural Design. The Quimby in Edgehill at Historic Kirkwood took home top honors in the $600,00-$699,000 category for the two-story home featuring a gourmet kitchen with large island and adjoining family room with an abundance of natural light and a guest suite and covered porch. Recognized in the $400,000-$499,000 category was The Fostoria in Enclave at Belmont, which features high ceilings and a third-floor owner’s retreat with a spa-like bath.

The Quimby was also recognized with a gold award for Interior Merchandising. This open-concept home features a contemporary design with touches of vintage charm. Neutral tones are punctuated by pops of rich blue and brass accents to complement the neutral walls, hardwood flooring, a black accent wall and a chevron tile backsplash in the kitchen.

The Terramont in Grand Reserve took home a silver award in Architectural Design in the $800,0000-$899,000 category. The two-story farmhouse-style home is highlighted by a eat-in island in the kitchen and adjoining family room that overlooks a covered patio.

The home builder's marketing efforts were also recognized with a gold award for Best Audio/Video Promotion for the company’s corporate video. The three-minute video features customers, homeowners and team members sharing stories that emphasize the company's commitment to home building and customer satisfaction.

The OBIE Awards program, which is presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, began in 1980 and are given to recognize outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing remodeling and personal achievement categories.
