Five-Star Fast Rating For Katy ISD Schools

David Weekley Homes is proud to announce that Katy ISD received a five-star FAST rating for 2010!

As a leader in high academic achievement via cost-effective operations, Katy ISD is only one of 43 districts to receive the maximum five-star rating under the Financial Allocation Study for Texas (FAST), out of 1,235 public school districts and charter schools in Texas. In addition Katy ISD is one of only three districts, with more than 50,000 students, to receive this high rating, and one of the seven districts in the greater Houston area to be listed. 

The Financial Allocation Study for Texas, or FAST rating, is released from the office of Susan Combs, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and identifies districts and schools that have high academic achievement and cost-effective operations. The report, Connecting the Dots: School Spending and Student Progress, creates a level playing field to compare school districts.

In addition to their FAST Rating, Katy ISD has also received a Superior rating from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) and is a TEA “recognized” district serving more than 60,000 students.
