FOSTER THE LOVE: DAVID WEEKLEY HOMES HOSTS EVENT TO RAISE $20,000 FOR FOSTER FAMILY

Jacksonville, FL (March 18, 2015): Living out its purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives, David Weekley Homes recently held a fundraiser to benefit the family of Bob Foster, who lost his fight with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The Foster the Love event brought in nearly 500 people and raised more than $20,000 to benefit Bob’s family, including his three young children.

After learning about Bob’s medical battle and the need to travel to a specialist in Texas, David Weekley Homes team members sprang into action to organize a fundraiser as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, Bob succumbed to cancer in February, one month before the event.

Held on March 8 at Greenleaf Village Park in Nocatee, Foster the Love provided an afternoon of fun while raising money from proceeds collected through admission fees, donations, silent auction results and a portion of sales from the 15 vendors onsite. The money will be donated to assist Bob’s family with medical expenses and to college funds for his young children.
