Jacksonville, FL (May 28, 2015): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held homebuilder, will soon begin building new homes in Shearwater. Located in Johns County on County Road 210, this 1,500+ acre community is situated along the Trout River.

The home builder is currently developing floor plans for Phase I, which will feature Garden Series homes on 40-foot homesites and 50-foot homesites in the Cottage Series. Sales are expected to begin later this summer and a model home is expected to open in the fall.

Freehold Communities is the master developer for this new community, which is designed for active lifestyles and outdoor enthusiasts.
